Plans

There are increasing demands on our region's water supply, and our Regional Plans help manage this demand.  Our freshwater is sought after by many sectors in our community - hydro-electricity generators, farmers, households, recreation, industry and tourism.

Rivers and drainage

The Bay of Plenty region has eight major rivers emptying into the Bay and schemes in place for our  rivers and streams to ensure that our communities are protected from flooding.

Water Pollution

Find out about Environment Bay of Plenty's work to prevent water pollution in the region.
