| Regional Land Management Plan |

The Operative Regional Land Management Plan addresses sustainable land management, soil conservation, riparian management, protection of wetlands, and integration of land and water management. The plan covers all the land area of the Bay of Plenty region except the beds of lakes and rivers.
The Plan contains regional rules for:
Earthworks
Vegetation clearance
Clearance of vegetation by burning
Culverts, single span bridges, fords
Wetland modification
Once operative, the Regional Water and Land Plan will supersede the current Regional Land Management Plan, which will then be withdrawn.
