Whakatane at Town Wharf

The Whakatane Town Wharf water level and
barometric pressure recorder is operated by Environment Bay of Plenty to
collect storm, flood and tide information in the lower Whakatane River.
Levels are in terms of Chart datum; to
convert to Moturiki datum subtract 0.96m from displayed readings.
A high flood level of 4.01 metres was
recorded at this site in July 2004.
